Caroline Marks’s Year Recap Features Stunning BTS Surfing Content in Her Coral Bikini

With a World Champion title in September, 2023 was certainly one for the books.

American professional surfer Caroline Marks had a big year in 2023. In early September, the 21-year-old took the World Surf League World Champion title, adding her name to a list of the impressive athletes who came before her.

She commemorated just that and more in a yearly recap on her Instagram. The carousel featured a series of behind the scenes content from her surfing practice and competitions, honoring the fact that she spends much of her days out on the waves, preparing for impressive competitions.

In addition to some fun and adventurous snaps with her friends, Marks included several photos of her time on the beach and in the surf, awaiting the coming waves. In several, she stood in a neon coral bikini, white surfboard in hand, ready to take on an afternoon or evening of surfing.

“✌️ 2023. Best year yet :),” she fittingly captioned the recap, and we don’t blame her—if we proved ourselves the best in our sport, we’d consider it our best year, too.

"More world titles and vino in 2024 pls ❤️,” fellow professional surfer Macy-Jane Callaghan commented.

“23 champ!” another gushed of Marks.

“Yeah it was! More to come 🙌,” her coach, Luke Egan, wrote.

We have no doubt that the athlete has more impressive titles and performances ahead of her, and we look forward to watching her succeed this year and in the years to come. But for now, we think she should just keep soaking in her impressive past year.
