Influencer and fashion designer Cindy Kimberly posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue last year when the 24-year-old traveled to Barbados with Ben Watts. The photographer captured Kimberly in a number of unfussy string bikinis and colorful one-piece swimsuits. The styling on location was intended to reflect the laid back nature of the Caribbean country, which is evident in the gorgeous snapshots that resulted from the collaboration.

Kimberly was initially discovered after pop artist Justin Bieber shared a photo of her to his Instagram account in 2015. Since then, the Dutch model has created an online platform of more than seven million Instagram followers alone, where she shares lifestyle and career-related content.

The 2022 SI Swimsuit rookie is also very open about her mental health struggles and hopes to help others through her lived experience.

“Mental health problems can feel very isolating,” Kimberly told SI Swimsuit last year. “I know for a fact that when I am having an episode, it really feels like it’s just me that's feeling that way—like I’m either broken or unlike the people around me. So I try to be open about it because I hope someone out there might identify with it and realize they’re not alone.”

Earlier this year, Kimberly launched LOBA by Cindy Kimberly, a clothing line available exclusively through online retailer Revolve. The collection of stylish and trendy pieces matches the model’s own chic aesthetic with sheer tops, blazers, corsets, skirts and more.
