Author, podcaster and entrepreneur Katrina Scott made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2021 and was named Rookie of the Year. The Tone It Up cofounder returned in ’22 to be photographed by Derek Kettela and made history as the first visibly pregnant woman to be featured in the magazine.

The 39-year-old shares two daughters with her husband, Brian. She shared in an Instagram post last year that the Swim Team actually came up with her younger daughter, Colette’s, name while she was on set in St. Croix last year. Her older daughter is named Isabelle.

“I’ve learned that our hearts expand, and we find a strength that we never knew we could have,” she said about being a mom of two. “Each day is so challenging, but patience, breathing and knowing it’s just temporary keeps me going. The biggest adjustment has been my time divided between Colette and Bella. I knew it would be hard, but wow.”

Scott has been candid about her experience with IVF and how she struggled through her second pregnancy and labor.

“It’s so crazy because I feel like I’ve been on my fertility journey while being part of the Sports Illustrated family. They have been there for me through all the ups and downs,” she said about what her historic feature meant. “When I first had a miscarriage, the whole team at SI sent the most beautiful arrangement and checked in on me. Then when I walked the runway, I was doing my IVF treatments. And then I was asked to be back in the publication, but pregnant. This is really an SI Swimsuit baby!”

Here’s a look back at some of our favorite photos from Scott’s 2021 photo shoot with Yu Tsai in Tampa, Fla.
