Maggie Rawlins Dazzles in These 8 SI Swim Pics in Florida
A rookie in the 2021 SI Swimsuit Issue, Maggie Rawlins was initially discovered while working as a registered nurse. The South Carolina native chose to embark on a modeling career, but bravely went back to the front lines in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It was a no-brainer,” Rawlins told the New York Post of returning to her work as an RN. “I’ve been a nurse for six years, so it’s always been part of my story.”
Her story with SI Swimsuit began when she posed for the magazine two years ago, donning a number of incredible neon bikinis and strappy one-pieces when she traveled to Hollywood, Fla., to work with photographer James Macari. Not only did the photoshoot result in some incredible images, but her dedication also perfectly aligned with SI Swimsuit’s goal of elevating multidimensional women.
“Not only is [Rawlins] an incredibly beautiful model, she is also living proof that it’s never too late to give back to your community,” the magazine’s editor in chief, MJ Day, said of Rawlins. “She returned to her career in nursing when COVID-19 hit, volunteering to work at several hospitals in Queens. As a former pediatric oncology nurse and a COVID frontline warrior, her dedication, commitment and passion towards helping others are the types of traits we love to celebrate and highlight.”
Today, Rawlins continues to model and is represented by The Lions and Premium Models, an independent agency based in Paris.
