Olivia Dunne Dons Sweet Pink Workout Set, Takes Fans Through Recovery Day
LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne knows how important rest and recovery are as a Division I athlete. She’s good about prioritizing her moments to ensure she can perform her best on the floor, beam and bars.
The SI Swimsuit model, who worked with photographer Ben Watts for both her ’23 and ’24 features with the brand in Puerto Rico and Portugal, respectively, brought her 4.9 million Instagram followers along for a day (off) in the life. She visited local clinics and worked with professionals to stretch and massage her joints and muscles.
The Livvy Fund creator, who was just named the face of Nautica’s spring 2024 line, donned a Valentine’s Day-themed muted pink-mauve sports bra and leggings set from Vuori, an activewear brand for which she has been a longtime ambassador.
“recovery day as a D1 athlete,” the New Jersey native wrote on-screen of her Instagram reel. The 21-year-old, who is dating MLB player Paul Skenes, tagged Baton Rouge-based company Trifecta Sports Therapy.
“much needed💆🏼♀️ #lsu #gymnastics #recovery #training,” she captioned the Feb. 14 reel.
Dunne showed off her sculpted abs and arms and toned legs. Her dog Roux even made a quick and adorable appearance as the two sprawled out on a yellow yoga mat and played around for a second.
The NCAA star, who is the highest-paid female college athlete in the country, has been open about how she deals with haters who criticize her for using social media for financial gain.
“There’s always people who want to downplay your success and say it’s just because of how you look or it’s just luck,” she said. “I don’t give that negativity too much attention because it doesn’t deserve it. If I want girls to hear my message, I need to focus on what I want to say and not waste my time getting defensive about people who don’t take the time to understand what I do.”
