Olivia Dunne’s Latest TikTok Thirst Trap Is a Must-Watch
Social media queen Olivia Dunne is certainly feeling the repercussions of Universal Music Group removing its tracks from TikTok. But, the LSU gymnast has found a way around it, and is still providing her 7.9 million followers with A+ content.
The SI Swimsuit model, who was photographed in Puerto Rico for her 2023 debut with the magazine and in Portugal for her forthcoming rookie feature in this year’s issue, shared a stunning selfie video on Feb. 3. She donned a colorful leotard, of course, but it was a change from her usual sparkly, bedazzled purple long-sleeved number. The 21-year-old paired her striped blue, purple and white one-piece with a cute competition-ready braided hairdo. The New Jersey native opted for a full-glam moment, including featured brows, a glass skin base, wispy lashes, rosy blush, champagne highlighter and glossy pink lips.
“POV: me making a thirst trap ever since TikTok got rid of all the good music,” read the on-screen text.
Dunne showed off her modeling skills and muscular arms as she mouthed along to cartoon-like “womp womp” noises.
Just a few days ago, the licensing deal between TikTok and UMG, the Netherlands-based music corporation that represents artists like Taylor Swift and Drake, expired, leading to tons of sounds being removed from the platform.
“As a female athlete, I hope I can bring attention to how amazing college sports are and how hard college athletics are. People don’t see [behind the scenes] every day of my college athletics, and it’s very time consuming,” Dunne told SI Swimsuit. “In gymnastics, a lot of people only watch the Olympics every four years, and I feel like I’ve been able to use my platform to bring an audience to college gymnastics, and people are starting to see how amazing all these gymnasts are.”
