The news is out. Actress and model Penny Lane’s 2024 SI Swimsuit rookie photoshoot took place in the beautiful Portuguese countryside, where she posed in front of the lens of the talented Ben Watts.

Even while on set, the 29-year-old couldn’t wrap her head around what was happening. “Up until this point, I haven’t believed it,” she said while on location. “It still feels like it’s sinking in today.”

While it may have felt more akin to a dream than reality for the holistic health coach, we can guarantee it was real—and it was incredible, a sentiment shared by her fellow 2024 SI Swimsuit rookies. They took to the comment section of SI Swimsuit’s Instagram announcement to share their excitement over Lane’s reveal.

“Our beautiful Penny!! ❤️🤩🫶 so so so so proud!!” Denver Broncos cheerleader Berkleigh Wright gushed.

“That's my girl!! Yesssssss,” Sharina Gutierrez exclaimed.

“Screaming!” Jena Sims aptly summed up her—and our—reaction to the clip.

“Wowww 😍😍,” Brittney Nicole added.

Needless to say, we here at SI Swimsuit are overjoyed to welcome Lane to the family, as are her fellow 60th anniversary issue rookies, who will likewise be featured in this year’s magazine. Thus, the love pouring in for the rookie is more than fitting, if you ask us.

Be sure to check out Lane’s reveal, which includes a sneak peek at a few of the wonderful photos that she posed for while in Porto and the North, Portugal.
