WNBA athletes Sue Bird, DiDi Richards, Te’a Cooper, Nneka Ogwumike, and Breanna Stewart were photographed for the 2022 issue of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in the US Virgin Islands on St. Thomas. They were photographed by Laretta Houston.

Sue Bird describes the day by saying “It was fun because we don’t always get to spend the kind of time with other WNBA players…I think everyone in their own way was made to feel super amazing about themselves.”

Breanna Stewart shares the parallel that “basketball is 90% mental, and I think that it’s the same way with self-confidence.”
