In 2022, lawyer Victoria Vesce joined the SI Swimsuit family, making her debut as a finalist in the year’s Swim Search. She posed alongside a couple of other finalists on the beaches of the Dominican Republic with photographer Yu Tsai. 

In addition to rocking her rookie shoot, she took the opportunity to speak up about her 2017 diagnosis and experience with multiple paraganglioma, a brain-skull tumor and body tumor, as well as her experience with grief following the passing of her mother in 2021. She took to Instagram in May of 2022 to preview the SI Swim launch and reflect on what the feature meant to her.

“And so it begins 😍 I’m so excited the launch is next week 😍😍😍 i legit got goosebumps when I saw this and started tearing up ! My mom is so with me…my angel helping me fulfill my dreams! Also let’s keep donating to @natlbraintumorsociety 🧠 for brain tumor awareness month! To help patients and survivors like me!” she captioned the photo, giving a shoutout to her late mom and calling on her followers to donate to the National Brain Tumor Society.

Now through Nov. 1, 100% of SI Swimsuit’s portion of proceeds from cover prints purchased here will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund, which is helping to support the people and places of Maui affected by the recent wildfires.
