Leyna Bloom Is Bright and Beautiful in These 5 Bikinis in Belize

The three-time SI Swimsuit star traveled to Central America for the 2022 issue.

Model and actress Leyna Bloom made history in 2021, when she landed the cover of the SI Swimsuit Issue. Her rookie year, she became the first transgender woman to land on the front of the magazine in its history. She worked with photographer Yu Tsai in Tampa, Fla., for the groundbreaking occasion.

Bloom has returned to the fold each year since, and her work with the magazine has taken her to Belize and Dominica, where she reunited with Yu Tsai and worked with Amanda Pratt, respectively.

In addition to her breathtaking collaborations with SI Swimsuit, the Chicago native has also worked with notable brands like LaQuan Smith, Hugo Boss, L’Oréal Paris and others.

“This is a huge opportunity, really on another level,” Bloom said of her cover girl moment in 2021. “Because I know it’s not just for me. It’s for all my communities—the Black girls, the Asian girls, the LGBTQ+ community—this is my moment, and I’m so proud of myself for that. But it’s also our moment, and we’re going to take it and keep stepping into our power.”

While each of Bloom’s three SI Swimsuit features thus far have been incredible, we often find ourselves drawn back to her 2022 feature in Belize, due to the vibrant swimsuits that really popped against the backdrop of the verdant surroundings in Central America.
