Leyna Bloom Reflects on Her SI Swimsuit Cover Ahead of 60th Anniversary Legends Photo Shoot

For her fourth consecutive feature, the model is joining the brand for its milestone celebration in Florida.

In 2021, American actress and model Leyna Bloom graced the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine. Despite being her first feature in the magazine, she took the coveted cover spot with an incredible snap from her photo shoot in Tampa.

It was a memorable moment for the Chicago native—and one that she won’t soon forget. “Seeing myself on the cover of Sports Illustrated for the first time was an unforgettable moment, one that filled me with sheer excitement and gratitude. I completely geeked out,” she reflected in a recent Instagram post.

She followed up that debut photo shoot with a second and third consecutive feature in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Now, the model is rejoining the SI Swimsuit family yet again for the 60th anniversary celebration at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. 

The celebration, which will include a legends photo shoot—that will, of course, feature Bloom—had the model reflecting on her role in the brand’s history.

“Back when I first embarked on my journey in this industry, I never imagined that such an opportunity would come my way. Yet, here I am a few years later, still humbled and thankful to be part of a powerful legacy of women who have dared to make a difference,” she expressed in her social media post. “The courage to push beyond boundaries, to step into the unknown in search of self-discovery, and to inspire others along the way has led me to extraordinary places. I am deeply grateful to the entire Sports Illustrated family for this honor and for their unwavering support. Congratulations to Sports Illustrated on its 60th anniversary!”
