Marquita Pring Turned Up the Heat During Her SI Swim Photo Shoot in Barbados

The four-time brand star rocked fun, colorful suits during her feature with Ben Watts.

Four-time SI Swimsuit model Marquita Pring made her debut with the brand in 2020, when she starred in a super fun western-inspired photo shoot in Saratoga, Wyo., with photographer Ruven Afanadaor. She returned to the fold in ’21, and traveled to Sacramento, Calif., with Anne Menke, where she posed in dainty floral bikinis in lush green fields. In 2022, the New York native was capture in Barbados, and she most recently starred in a colorful, 1970s surf culture-inspired photo shoot in Puerto Rico.

Pring first rose to fame in 2011, when she walked the runway for Jean-Paul Gaultier during Paris Fashion Week. That same year, she also appeared in an iconic, trailblazing Vogue Italia cover story alongside Candice Huffine, Robyn Lawley and Tara Lynn. The model, who is the former face of Levi Strauss & Co., uses her platform to advocate for size, age and ethnic diversity in the modeling and fashion industries.

SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day has described Pring as a “natural fit” for the brand.

“She is effortless to photograph and a pleasure to be around. She is smart, competent, established and possesses a hunger and dedication to changing the industry,” Day said. “Her voice is powerful, and it is an important one for the world to hear.
