Swim Search Finalist Ally Courtnall Was the Queen of Neon in Atlantic City

The open casting call alumna stunned on the sandy shores during her 2021 SI Swimsuit feature.

Swim Search finalist Ally Courtnall certainly made a splash during her SI Swimsuit debut in 2021. The open casting call alumna, who traveled to Atlantic City with visual artist Yu Tsai, rocked a series of fun, flirty and colorful neon bikinis as she posed on the sand and shore.

“Sports Illustrated has always just been the dream,” she said while on location. “They changed the modeling game big time because they made it more about the person than the model.”

The mom of one, who welcomed a baby boy named Knight with her husband, Eric Kendricks, last May, is also a former Division I athlete. She played on the NCAA women’s soccer team and ran track at UCLA. Today, she uses her platform to share valuable advice about motherhood and advocate for mental health awareness.

“When you’re an athlete, you have a winner-take-all mentality. You have to! But life has more grey areas. It’s taken a long time to shake that perfectionist streak I have, and realize that sometimes when you ‘lose’ something, it’s actually a win because of what you learn and how you grow,” she said. “As I keep modeling and finding new ways to build my personal platform, I want to help other women find that balance, because it’s what keeps you thriving without being burned out.”
