And while it's always a good time to support Black-owned businesses, Black History Month is an extra special moment to show some love to this community. Luckily, there are plenty of Black-owned swimwear lines that offer unique and stunning swimsuits to choose from.

No matter what your style is—whether you’re a fan of a string bikini, thong bikini, full coverage, or a classic one-piece—these brands have got you covered (or uncovered if you know what I mean). So without further ado, here are some of our absolute favorite Black-owned swimwear lines to check out this season.

“Amini” is a Swahili word that translates to “believe.” Cierra Porter, the founder of this swimwear brand, has made a commitment to inspire and give back. Sustainability and social responsibility are at the heart of this swimwear brand, which offers several super flattering silhouettes.

Mint Swim features elegant and sexy pieces with fits that hug all the right places. “As a black woman, mother, and business owner .... it’s important that I do my part in all this to aid in a better/safer/ more kind future for my sons, for your sons as well,” said company founder and owner Draya Michele in a recent Instagram post.

Dirarrablu is a sustainable and size-inclusive brand offering swimwear and ready-to-wear pieces.

When our editorial team came across Riot Swim we instantly fell in love with the brand’s cheeky bottoms and cinched waist fits, stunning colors and beyond comfortable fabrics.

You’ve seen this on nearly every celebrity and supermodel (including Solange, Bella Hadid and Sofia Richie), designer. Melissa Simone credits SI Swimsuit models Christie Brinkley, Tyra Banks and Elle Macpherson as sources of inspiration.
