Katie Austin Goes Full Barbiecore for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue

Last year’s co-Rookie of the Year makes her third appearance in the magazine.

For her third consecutive year with the SI Swimsuit franchise, Katie Austin traveled to the Dominican Republic for the 2023 issue to work with photographer James Macari.

The fitness influencer and model embodied the popular Barbiecore aesthetic on the beach with her bold and bright looks. In contrast to the white sandy beaches of the Dominican Republic, Austin wore a fun and vibrant pink swimsuit by Haus of Pinklemonaid.

Two years ago, Austin was the co-winner of the brand’s Swim Search open casting call. She returned to the magazine last year and was later named 2022 co-Rookie of the Year (along with Christen Harper). Following in the footsteps of her mother, fitness guru Denise Austin, she is also a certified fitness trainer and health coach.
