Swim Search Finalist Hillory Fields Was Fierce and Captivating in the Dominican Republic

The travel ICU nurse applied to the open casting call after being drawn to SI Swimsuit’s ‘Pay With Change’ initiative.

Swim Search finalist Hillory Fields decided to try out for the open casting call last year after being drawn to SI Swimsuit‘s Pay With Change initiative. The model, who totally nailed her photoshoot with photographer Yu Tsai in the Dominican Republic, is passionate about giving back.

As a travel ICU nurse and the founder of SBAR, an app that allows people to review hospitals they’ve worked at or traveled to, she is dedicated to making her “mark” on the world and sparking positive change in the healthcare and modeling industries.

“There are so many working women with bigger dreams who hide behind their talents in fear of failure. Women who want to be sexy but don’t want their sex appeal to overshadow their hard work because someone in a suit deemed it inappropriate,” she told the magazine. “Winning Swim Search would not only prove that your dreams deserve to be alive but it will shine light on how limitless life can be. But it doesn’t stop there because I don’t only represent one type of woman. I represent curvy women, chocolate women, extroverted women, independent women, alpha females, etc. It wouldn’t be a win for just me. It would be a win for every woman who relates to all the parts that make me Hillory.”

Today, the Arcadia, Fla., native is a lover of all water sports. She spent her entire childhood never too far from the beach and always has a drawer full of bikinis. She recently starred in modeling campaigns for Lululemon and Fashion Nova, and continues to serve as representation in the industry.
